RULES AND REGULATION
1. The tournament shall be called 12th Engineers cup Cricket Tournament(T-20) 2009
League cum knock out invitational cricket Tournament (Twenty –Twenty formats)
2. It shall be interdepartmental Invitational tournament. The Department team means a team of State/Central Government Department, Corporations, Board Bank and Semi Government Department and the Autonomous Bodies.
3. Each Team shall consist of 14 players and a team manager.
4. Every player of the participating team must be regular employee of the respective organization(in regular pay scale as a permanent employee)
5. The list of players (14 numbers dully verified and certified by the competent authority should accompany the entry fees.
6. The entry fees is Rupees 4000/-(Rupees four thousand) only. It shall be deposited through the demand Draft/cash/cheque/in favor of ORGANISING SECRETARY, ENGINEERS CUP CRICKET TOURNAMENT, MNIT, JAIPUR.
7. All matches shall be played 20 overs each side in the tournament.
8. To represent a team at least seven members of the team should report at the ground.
9. Two matches shall be played in a day. The First match will be start at 8.30 Am sharp (reporting time will be 8.00AM).Second Match will be start at 11.45 sharp (reporting time will be 11.00AM).the time is adjustable due to unavailability of ground/mating, raining, fog, dim light or any other natural or authentic reasons.
10. The tournament shall be played on the basis of the ICC 20-20 Cricket rules .and some rules will be followed made by the organizing body for the tournament too.
11. On no ball one run penalty will be awarded and the batsman will be allowed the next ball for the free hit. On a free hit ball bats man can be out only by run out.
12. In 20 overs match first 8 overs of inning shall be power play(only two fielders allowed out side the 30 yard circle)
13. After fall of the wicket the next batsman must be in the position to take guard in two minutes.
14. No match shall be played less than 20 overs.(this rule is for entire stage of the tournament like league, quarter, semi or final too)
15. A match which is abandoned without a ball being bowled shall not be replayed and one point will be awarded to the both teams in league stage and in the knock out stage toss will be made for the result.
16. In a rain or bed whether affected match minimum 10 overs must be bowled for the team batting second. For the result average will count where match stop in team batting second (incomplete over will be ignore)
17. No protest will against umpires decision shall be entertained.
18. If there is a protest, it should be sent in writing to the organizing committee/technical committee along with the protest fee Rs. 8000/-(Rupees Eight thousand) only which in one hour of the match finished. The protest fee shall not be refund except when it is either withdrawn before the consideration the protest is upheld.
19. In case if there is a dispute or any technical problem create than the organizing committee have reserve all rights to solve the problem accordingly and decision of the committee is final and binding upon all.
20. Misbehave by the any team /players/ persons with the organizer/umpires/any official appoints will not be allowed in result such players will be debarred from the tournament immediately.
